Jen and Dan were wonderful hosts who provided us with great local recommendations and amazing homemade two course breakfast. The Lamplighter B&B has thoughtful touches in the room, a beautiful outdoor seating area, and is within walking distance of most attractions. Overall it is a class act and we hope to stay with them again!

During the most unimaginable, difficult, heart wrenching time in our life, a time no parents should ever have to go though, we found some needed peace and quiet at the Lamplighter Bed and Breakfast. Dan and Jen were the perfect hosts making sure we had what we needed...space to help us process with Christian hospitality and love. The inn is stunning. Our room was beautiful. The jetted tub relaxing. Breakfast was amazingly delicious. We are just beginning this new journey we find ourselves on and are thankful for this time away. Remember to treasure all the little moments as you never know what tomorrow brings or how long you have with God's greatest blessings, our children. If we are ever in Ludington again we will definitely be staying here.

We love bed and breakfasts and the Lamplighter was the best ever! Wonderful and gracious hosts, comfortable, clean and charming Ansel Adams room! We always have the best time at the Lamplighter. Dan and Jen are the sweetest couple and they really take care of their guests. Breakfast is always delicious and feature meat from the local butcher. For a nice and relaxing time away we highly recommend a stay here.

First time there this New Year's weekend - so wonderful to walk in and feel like home. The best. Already booked next New Year's Eve and planning a stay in May. Look at the pictures on their web site - they are accurate and give a good feel for the place.

The innkeepers Jen and Dan are beyond kind, genuine, generous, and gracious. The attention to detail of the home’s decor and also the add-on amenities surpassed our expectations. We added the charcuterie tray, flowers, persecco, chocolate cake, and sparkling cider to our stay in the Ansel Adams room. The presentation was beautiful; flavors perfection; and servings generous. We were even provided with “to-go” packaging so to bring remaining goodies home. Our purpose for staying at the Lamplighter B&B was due to needing a place to stay overnight for an early MRI the following morning (we live several hours away). We were nicely surprised to find that the inn is in close proximity to the Spectrum hospital. Additionally, we decided to take advantage of the time away to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary a few days early at the inn. Our decision to stay at the Lamplighter blessed us with a wonderful and memorable experience. Dan and Jenn provide many extra goodies inside and outside (e.g., robes, a library, complimentary beverages galore on both floors 24/7; easy off-street parking, gazebo—and lap blankets, if needed) to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Jenn makes the flavorful, homemade breakfast and Dan said he “has the pleasure of serving it.” 😊We will definitely choose the Lamplighter B&B again when we return to Ludington (preferably in warmer weather).

Our room was very nice with a private bathroom having a shower and a large soaking jetted tub. They had every detail taken care of. Breakfast was outstanding and amenities were very well thought out as well. They even included water bottles or cans of pop to grab and go.I was very impressed with the cleanliness. I have been to many B&B's that were clean, but still saw dust in corners or whatever. Not this place. Every speck was very clean, which is very top on our list.

After searching reviews for the best B&B for our 25th anniversary, we set our sights on Lamplighter B&B and Dan & Jen delivered. The home is beautiful and clean with all the amenities you would ever need. The Ansel Adams room was spacious, beautiful, comfortable and extremely clean. We also included massages in our package right on sight by Becka which was amazing. The breakfasts were really tasty, all locally sourced and homemade. Even Dan's presentation was very professional and shows they really take pride in what they do. Coffee, tea, cocoa, water, pop and ice were all complimentary not to mention Jen's Gingerdoodle cookies in the afternoon which were amazing. You can also relax by the fire downstairs or under the gazebo. Overall, it was absolutely perfect and Dan & Jen were perfect hosts.

If you like B&B's that are beautiful, clean, wonderful locally sourced homemade breakfast with all the amenities you would ever need and hosts that go over and beyond then Lamplighter B&B is the place for you. Perfect place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary together. It was perfect! Thank you Dan & Jen.

Have you ever seen a site with every review marked 5 stars? There is a reason for this and I agree with all the reviews. This is simply a 5 star B&B! We just got home from staying three nights with Dan and Jen at the Lamplighter. We stayed in the Monet room with the king bed and the huge walk in shower. We couldn’t get over how quiet the home was even though there were other guests enjoying the B&B. The breakfasts were just incredible- delicious and beautifully presented. Dan and Jen made us feel totally at home in their home and we just loved our stay with them. We will be back!

We stayed here while on vacation touring some lighthouses along the western lake shoreline. It was cozy, a comfortable bed and very clean. The breakfast was amazing - the hosts Dan and Jennifer are very hospitable. They definitely take time to get to know their guests and ensure the stay is like visiting your family/friends. We highly recommend the establishment.

Our very first experience with a B&B and it went beyond our expectations. The hosts were friendly and helpful without being over bearing. A lot of thought was put into making sure a guest would lack nothing when staying there. We met other wonderful couples and it was totally a great experience. Our room was beautiful as was the whole house. And to top it off the breakfasts served there - and they actually served you - were fantastic. Jen’s preparation of food goes beyond your normal expectation of a nice breakfast. Dan and Jen are truly wonderful people. We were blessed to choose such a place.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Lamplighter! Dan and Jen were wonderfully welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. Our room was spotless, well-furnished, and so comfortable. The common rooms are also beautiful and comfortable. I wish we'd had more time during our stay to sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy the common spaces. They were all so gorgeous!One of the best things by far were the breakfasts! Everything we were served was far beyond expectations! All of the ingredients were fresh and local, and the flavors were unique and delicious. I am not a morning person, but these breakfasts made waking up "early" worth it!Thank you Dan and Jen for a wonderful stay. I'd recommend anyone who comes to Ludington stay at the Lamplighter! Things couldn't have been better!

Our stay at the Lamplighter was nothing short of wonderful. We had one night on our way to Traverse City and the UP and another night after returning on the ferry. The Lamplighter was the best of our Inn and B&B stays. Dan and Jen are very gracious hosts and really make you feel appreciated. You will not find nicer people. The breakfasts are fantastic and the rooms and common area are very comfortable. Ludington has a lot to offer and the Lamplighter is a great place to consider when visiting. We will definitely come back to the Lamplighter if we should visit the area again.
